Habitat for Humanity of Cape Cod is now accepting applications for six homes to be built in Brewster, and three to be built in Truro.

Brewster

Habitat is developing a 14-home neighborhood in Brewster on Paul Hush Way, off of Tubman Road. The first six homes will begin construction in the summer of 2017, with the remaining to start in a few years. Of the first six homes, two will be 2-bedroom ranch-style homes, two will be 3-bedroom ranch-style homes, one will be a 3-bedroom Cape-style house and one will be a 4-bedroom Colonial-style home (the 4-bedroom home will be part of a "Blitz Build" that will take place in September 2017).

Applicant households must be income eligible with a maximum 65% of area median income for household size ($55,185 for a family of four), be willing to commit many hours of sweat equity to building the home and have a housing need. The monthly housing payment (mortgage, taxes, insurance, homeowner association fee) for these homes is estimated to be around $570 and $765 per month depending on house size and other terms.

Truro

Habitat will be building three homes off Route 6 in North Truro, with construction to start in the fall of 2017. One home will be a 3-beroom ranch-style, one will be a 2-bedroom ranch-style and one will be a 1-bedroom Cape-style with a composting toilet.
