93-97 Route 28, Harwich
We are permitted to build a 6 affordable home subdivision behind the existing houses at this address. These 2 and 3 bedroom single family homes will be ranch and Cape styles. Infrastructure work began for this project in Fall 2019. Following a brief Covid-19 related delay, we continue this Summer 2020 with road construction. Barring any unforeseen delays, we expect volunteer construction to begin in May or June 2021.
Barrows Road (now Willett Way) , Falmouth
This 10 home subdivision will be a mix of 2 and 3 bedroom single family, ranch-style homes. Preliminary infrastructure work (road & drainage) was completed in early Fall 2019. Barring unforeseen delays, foundations and septic systems will be put in mid to late summer 2020 with wall raisings planned for 6 homes in June 2021, and 4 homes in September 2021. Volunteer construction usually starts 12 - 18 months after we begin infrastructure work.
Route 6, Truro
181 Route 6, 3 homes - Our 40B Comprehensive Permit approval by the Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA), was appealed by a neighbor. A trial was held in November 2019, with a decision for the plaintiff in March 2020. We have gone back to the "drawing board" and expect to have updated information about this project by Fall 2020.
Old Kings Highway, Wellfleet
Old Kings Highway - Our 40B Comprehensive Permit for four homes which was approved by the Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA) in July 2019 has been appealed by several abutters. We are working our way through the judicial process. We do not expect to have a judgment until Summer 2021. We will provide more information as we are able.
George Ryder Road South, Chatham
We are currently (July 2020) in the process of permitting two homes (1-3 BR; 1-2 BR) through the Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA). Assuming success, the volunteer build is currently scheduled for late Summer of 2022.
Great Neck Road, Mashpee
We successfully permitted two 3 bedroom homes at 341 Great Neck Road North (now known as Mendes Way) through ZBA in Spring 2019. Infrastructure has started and we plan to raise walls on the homes in September 2020.
Our LIP (Local Initiative Project) application has been approved by the Department of Housing and Community Development, and we plan to submit a 40 B Comprehensive Permit application to Sandwich ZBA by end of Summer 2020. We are planning to build one 3 bedroom home at Nauset Street and two 2 bedroom homes on Cotuit Road in this "scatter-site" project.
Quanset Road, Orleans
We are permitted for a "by-right" build of a 2-bedroom ranch style home on Quanset Road in Orleans. Site work will begin Summer 2020. Barring any unforeseen delays, the volunteer build is scheduled to begin in October 2020.
