Yarmouth Port, MA – Habitat for Humanity of Cape Cod hosted its 2025 Annual Meeting and Volunteer and Donor Appreciation Celebration on October 9, 2025, at the West Dennis Yacht Club, generously sponsored by Shepley Wood Products. More than 200 supporters gathered to celebrate volunteers, donors, and the organization’s achievements. Over fifty volunteers were recognized for 10, 15, 20, and over 20 years of volunteer service to Habitat Cape Cod.
Five special awards recognized outstanding partners, donors, and volunteers who have gone above and beyond in support of Habitat for Humanity of Cape Cod.
Seamen’s Bank received the Community Partner Award for its innovative partnership with Habitat Cape Cod to keep Habitat homeowners’ mortgages local and streamline the mortgage process for families. The bank developed a specialized mortgage product modeled after the structure previously available through the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). The first Seamen’s Bank mortgages will serve future homeowners in Wellfleet’s Old Kings Highway neighborhood.
Fraser Construction received the Golden Hammer Award in recognition of its continued generosity in donating labor for the roofs of all Habitat Cape Cod homes. The company’s long-standing support has helped ensure safe, quality homes for local families.
Tim Stoll of Eastham was honored with the Everett Stoyle Spirit of Service Volunteer Award, marking his ten years of dedicated volunteerism and leadership on construction sites and within the Deconstruction Program.
Ken Lucas of Yarmouth Port earned the Habitat ReStore Volunteer in Excellence (HaRViE) Award for his steadfast commitment since 2018, assisting customers, repairing furniture, and supporting the ReStore’s mission of selling new and used home goods to the public to fund the building of affordable homes on Cape Cod.
The Donald S. Dickinson Legacy Award was presented to Warren Brodie of Waquoit, recognizing over two decades of volunteer service, including twelve years on the Board of Directors and his vital role as a member of Habitat Cape Cod’s legal team.
Habitat Cape Cod’s President and CEO, Wendy Cullinan, said, “Our volunteers, donors, sponsors, and neighbors across the Cape make it possible for us to continue building affordable homes with local families through their generosity. We are grateful to all who make our mission possible, building homes, hope, and community across the Cape.”
Habitat for Humanity of Cape Cod has built nearly 200 homes from Bourne to Provincetown and is currently completing homes in Dennis and Wellfleet. In 2026, new builds in Falmouth, Brewster, and Pocasset will begin. Additional builds over the next few years are planned for Yarmouth, Marstons Mills, Orleans, and North Falmouth. Qualifying families are selected via drawing. Future homeowners contribute sweat equity by helping build their homes alongside local volunteers, and then they purchase their homes with an affordable mortgage. Habitat Cape Cod has been nationally recognized for building energy-efficient, affordable homes. All homes are deed-restricted to remain affordable in perpetuity.
