Noreen Browne Joins Habitat for Humanity of Cape Cod as Director of Land Acquisition
Habitat for Humanity of Cape Cod is pleased to welcome Dennis resident Noreen Browne as its new Director of Land Acquisition. Noreen joined the team in February and brings valuable experience from her previous role as Director of Project Development at South Shore Habitat for Humanity.
As Director of Land Acquisition, Noreen will lead efforts to find new housing opportunities, manage land purchases, and navigate the permitting process. Her background includes expertise in the Massachusetts Local Initiative Program, which will help Habitat Cape Cod expand its capacity to work with Cape Cod towns and partner with more local families needing affordable homes.
“We are thrilled to have Noreen join us,” said Wendy Cullinan, President and CEO. “Her background with Habitat and expertise in project management, affordable housing, and working with the state and local programs are vital as we work to keep local families on Cape Cod.”
To discuss potential land sales or donations, please contact Noreen Browne at land@habitatcapecod.org or 508-362-3559 ext. 124.
Habitat for Humanity of Cape Cod has completed nearly 200 homes from Bourne to Provincetown and is currently building in Dennis and Wellfleet. Additional builds are planned for Yarmouth, Marstons Mills, Falmouth, Brewster, Orleans, and North Falmouth. Qualifying families are selected via drawing, and future homeowners contribute sweat equity, helping build their homes alongside local volunteers, then purchase their homes with an affordable mortgage. Habitat Cape Cod has been nationally recognized for building energy-efficient, affordable homes. All homes are deed-restricted to remain affordable in perpetuity. Habitat Cape Cod relies on the generosity of our community to build affordable homes with local Cape Cod families. To ensure gifts stay local, donors must donate online at habitatcapecod.org or via mail to 411 Main Street, Suite 6, Yarmouth Port, MA 02675.
