How it Works?
Donating crypto is fast, easy, and secure. Using the form on this page, making a charitable gift is a quick three-step process:
- Select your preferred crypto and enter your gift amount
- Type in your email and basic info (or choose to give anonymously)
- Make your gift!
Upon making a donation, you can elect to receive an automatically generated
tax receipt that will be sent to the email address you provide.
We accept the following cryptocurriencies
Donating cryptocurrency is tax deductible to the full extent of the law. Donors may not owe capital gains tax on the appreciated crypto that is donated and can often deduct the full fair market value of the donation on their taxes.
Current IRS guidelines classify virtual currency as property for federal tax purposes. Donating cryptocurrency is a non-taxable event, meaning you do not owe capital gains tax on the appreciated amount and can deduct it on your taxes. This makes cryptocurrency donations very tax-efficient.
If you sell your crypto for cash and donating the cash, you may own taxes on the sale (no
charity donation benefits).
