Remembering Bill Page - Longtime Volunteer and Supporter

Last Friday, Bill Page, a longtime Habitat Cape Cod volunteer, supporter, and friend, passed away. We are heartbroken over the news of Bill’s passing, which comes only a few months after his wife, Judith. Both had been avidly involved since our affiliate’s beginnings.

Bill started volunteering on the construction side of Habitat Cape Cod while Judith provided food for the construction volunteers. Judith became active on our office team as a family interviewer and partner and then chaired the first Family Partnership Committee. Bill continued to lend his construction skills to many build sites across Cape. He was a fighter pilot in the Air Force who had worldly travels and loved sharing stories of his time in the service and abroad. Both served many years on our Faith Relations Committee.

When not hammering nails, Bill could often be found on the softball field pitching in the over-75 AAA softball league and traveling the world with his beloved Judith. The couple loved building for Habitat for Humanity International through many Global Village trips and enjoyed getting to know new friends from diverse cultures and backgrounds; being together brought so much joy to Judith and Bill.

We are thankful that Bill and Judith watched Habitat Cape Cod raise walls on Nauset Street and Cotuit Road last year; they had been campaigning for more affordable homes in their hometown of Sandwich for 30 years. Our love goes out to Bill and Judith’s family and friends.
